Manny is not only a World Champion Boxer (and current #1 Pound for Pound), but also a philanthropist. Every time he steps into the ring his motivation is to uplift and inspire his country. Outside of the ring, his mission is to help improve the lives for all of his countrymen and women in the Philippines. The Manny Pacquiao Foundation is being created to make Manny’s dream become a reality.
Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquaio, was born on December 17, 1978 in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Mindanao. He currently resides in his hometown of General Santos City with his wife, Jinkee, and their four children. Manny grew up in the hard life of poverty. His success today has not gone to his head, but instead has given him the opportunity to give back to the underprivileged men, women, and children of the Philippines. Despite his many achievements inside of the boxing ring, Manny has not forgotten where he came from. Manny holds a special place in his heart for those individuals suffering in the Philippines, because he was once in the same situation. Although he cannot help every person in the Philippines, the Manny Pacquiao Foundation is designed to give support to many of the impoverished Filipinos that may not otherwise be receiving any assistance.
